As a Print Maker, I have been offered a two day Workshop for a school in Northampton, making Collagraphs. This is a wonderful opportunity to engage with children in schools again. There is never a dull moment when children get working creatively and it is a privilege to see them emerge as young Print Makers. They will be using new techniques and discovering varied outcomes and special effects - some of them being unexpected and experimental. All the more fun then and very much part of the process! I will be able to revisit and reinforce my own skills as a Print Maker gained on my MA Course at ARU whilst working once again as a Teacher and Workshop provider (which is also offered for Music) in a school. The children will be encouraged to find inspiration in a suitable Collagrapher Artist and we'll work with a variety of textures and materials to make exciting, creative plates to print over the two days. I can't wait to see how the children all get on and this certainly is a happy addition to the general remit of creative training offered at InstruVox.
