Our Summer Term Tea Time Concert for all current students set off to an excellent start with T. playing his Grade 7 piano pieces including the lively, toe-tapping fun "New Kid" and the captivating Chopin "Mazurka in A minor (p.68). We had some delightful playing from E. who graced us with a selection of her Grade 1 piano pieces. As a pleasant surprise, she additionally performed her Grade 1 cello pieces to us which I happily accompanied. O, enchanted us with his recently perfected pieces and even his Mum joined in with some ad hoc performance which was well received. It was a pleasure to vary our concert with pieces from T's brother, who is studying for grade 2 (although not one of my own students). He confidently stepped up to the keyboard to give a jaunty rendition of his own pieces. Thank you everyone for joining and for the most delicious chocolate brownies supplied by T's Mum. We'll aim for more concerts next term!
